Specific job duties: * Maintains clean, organized, and safe work environment. * Maintains confidentiality of all patient and office related information. * Attends department specific education/training, in-service, staff meetings. * Demonstrates ability to safely and competently perform assigned tasks/duties according to policies and procedures. * Completes projects as assigned by Supervisor. * Demonstrates the ability handle multiple responsibilities at one time. * Demonstrates appropriate knowledge of exercises in Exercise Manual and successful completion of certification. * Accurate preparation and maintenance of medical record. * Possesses an understanding of insurance authorization process and patient collection procedures. * Provides input to improve department operations, equipment and supply needs. * Demonstrates a positive influence and recognizes the efforts of others.
Qualifications/Skills: Qualified candidate must excel in interpersonal communication and customer service and be able to work both independently and as part of a team. They must excel in organization and attention to details and follow through. Additionally, they must have the ability to problem solve to logical conclusion and demonstrate initiative and responsibility. Must have good listening skills, and be able to effectively and clearly communicate (written and verbal.)
Experience: No experience required, prior volunteer/physical therapy–related work experience preferred.
Education: Requires High School diploma or equivalent. Some college preferred. Basic computer knowledge preferred. Candidate is currently enrolled or planning to enroll in health sciences program preferred.
